BMW Model:e53 x5. BMW Year:2003. Posted January 22, 2015. Hi, I serviced my e53 3.0d today and now iv got a slight/suttle ticking noise coming from front engine bay, ( I think belt area) I'm 99% sure it's not coming from engine but could be wrong, I put castrol edge 0w30 in and filled to the top mark, I no its a bit difficult to pinpoint by.

Location: So Cal. Posts: 642. The Aux. Fan Relay is located on the lower radiator hose, at the opening where the hose connects to the radiator itself. AUX fan comes on at specific temperatures, not just when the AC is turned on. I've heard that jumping the connector that plugs into the sensor will force the fan to turn on.

Blower fan just stopped working. Have checked all the fuses and all or ok.. Car: BMW x5 e53 2003. E53 Blower now working X5 2002 - purchased 2 weeks ago and didn't even try the air conditioning so a little annoyed the seller didn't point it out. Just got the e53 blower working 15 minutes ago. 1: Replaced FSU - no difference. 2: Tried connecting pins on FSU cable. #1 (lower right on line of 3) to #5 (top right of the 2 top ones. And #2 to #4 - blower motor instantly on full so not the blower. Pulled out radio and then air con control panel which pops out when pushed from behind.

In my desire to localize, I pull up Fuse F14 5A Multifunction control module 1 but it triggers a continuous sound and stop when I plug the fuse back.
